Like most Midwestern cities, travel in Lincoln is best by car or bike. If you’re flying in, it may be more economical to fly into Omaha and rent a car for the hour-long drive to Lincoln. Otherwise, flying into Lincoln’s airport and taking a rideshare downtown is another option.
Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is worth the hype and spending an extra day in the area. It’s consistently rated the #1 zoo in the country.
If you have the time and a car, the beautiful and ecologically diverse Nebraska Sandhills are a few hours to the northwest.
The Haymarket Farmers’ Market is on Saturday mornings within walking distance of downtown, and the College View Farmers’ Market is on Sundays.
